Natural Energy Boosters

If you are tired of feeling tired all the time, and you don’t want to use sugar and unhealthy methods to increase your energy levels, Dr. Oz shares some natural energy boosters to help you get to feeling great again. Here are five different ones for you to try.

Natural Energy Boosters

Dr. Oz decided to go to a local coffee shop and surprise the customers there by taking their orders. He told them they didn’t need to eat bacon, french toast and home fries, too. He asked many of them what they thought their energy levels were on any given day, and the answers seemed to be anywhere from 5 to 8. When Dr. Oz asked each of them what they did to keep their energy levels up, most of them responded with, “drinking plenty of coffee.” A woman said she drinks four cups of coffee in the morning and finds herself crashing by mid-afternoon. When he asked the customers what sucked away most of thier energy, one woman answered stress and children. She said her energy was at its lowest point after work in the evenings. To help, he provides the following five natural energy boosters.

Natural Energy Boosters: Spirulina Energy Cubes

Audience member Pria tells Dr. Oz she takes naps and uses vitamins to try and boost her energy levels, but it does not work. He recommends making spirulina energy cubes, using the blue green algae.

To do this, mix a teaspoon of and mix with 12 ounces of lime juice. Pour into an ice cube tray and freeze. When frozen, add two cubes to an 8 ounce glass of water and sip away.

Natural Energy Boosters: Moringa Extract

Moringa Oleifera is a plant native to the Himalayas where it has been used for hundreds of years. These leaves have antioxidants and three times more iron than spinach. You can either drink this in the morning as your tea, or you can take 400 mg a day, and you will not crash as a result of the caffeine.

Natural Energy Boosters: Deep Breath Blast Belt

Audience member Crystal tells Dr. Oz that her energy levels fluctuate all day. It is lowest in the morning when she wakes up. Sometimes, she just goes back to sleep and doesn’t get up until noon. Dr. Oz says that to get more energy, you need to get the air moving from the bottom of your lungs. When you breathe deeply through your chest, you are not moving your lungs. You need to get the diaphragm moving. Put a belt on–women should place it under their breasts, and men should put it under their nipples. Be sure the belt is tight. Put your right under below your belly button. Take 10 deep breaths (four seconds in and four seconds out) every morning. Pull your belly button toward your spine with each breath.

Dr Oz’s Energy Booster Survival Kit

You should keep an energy booster survival kit with you just like a first aid kit. He recommends keeping dark chocolate with peppermint oil, Trident Vitality gum, and Origins moisturizer in a small bag to carry with you. The dark chocolate and peppermint oil contains flavonoids, which can help you fight fatigue.

Trident Vitality Gum

This product contains ginseng which can help stimulate your body and get your energy levels up. This is a good choice for people who are not tea drinkers.

Origins Moisturizer

This moisturizer uses Cordyceps mushrooms. When you start to feel sluggish, use this for a pick-me-up.

Power Down Pressure Point

This can help you sleep and you can do this every single day for free. Turn off all your electronic devices and distractions. Put your finger right between your eyes on your brow bone. Rub it lightly for a few minutes. If you do this every night before you go bed, you will be ready to go the next day.

You can also use these sweeteners to re-energize your coffee or tea, without worrying about it packing on the pounds.

Natural Energy Boosters: Dark Chocolate Sweetener

Add a small piece of dark chocolate when you drink hot coffee or tea. This is full of flavonoids that can help boost your energy levels naturally.

Natural Energy Boosters: Black Strap Molasses

Black strap molasses is a sweet treat that’s good for you, too. It’s fat free, and contains iron so you will get a boost of energy with fewer calories.

Natural Energy Boosters: Date Sugar

Date sugar is made by crushing the dates, so you will get the good fiber and energy boost from vitamins and minerals, without the caloric boost associated with sugar. Plus, it’s natural and unprocessed.

Natural Energy Boosters: Raw Honey Crystals

Raw honey crystals can help you get the sweet you’re craving in your tea instead of sugar. They won’t cause such a spike in your blood sugar levels and they won’t leave you feeling the need to eat more sweets later.
